Shelly Martinez took to Twitter today to reassure fans that everything is fine between her and Dave Bautista. She tweeted the following, along with a photo of herself and him:

“When people make fun of Batista to me it’s annoying. Just because I had an incident w him YEARS ago doesn’t mean I wanna make fun of him. It’s the past and VERY old news. We made amends and ended that negative energy a LONG time ago.”

Martinez claimed in 2017 that she and Bautista had a “fight” backstage, which led to her dismissal from WWE. Martinez was working as Ariel on the ECW brand at the time. Her most recent appearance with the company was in 2006.

In 2017, Martinez stated the following:

“The time has definitely come and one of the signs that I know that wrestling is done for me is a couple. I’ve been having a real hard time these last couple of months and ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ has been promoted and now is out. For those of you that know that me and Dave Bautista got in a fight backstage, that’s how I got fired – so it’s been interesting for me to drive around town and I see Dave Bautista’s face everywhere.”

She added, “there’s a lot of healing that I did through all of that but I was finding myself getting depressed. I would wonder why am I depressed and I would backtrack my day and a lot of times it was triggered by Bautista.

That appears to be water under the bridge, as she states that everything is fine between them these days.
