Bianca Belair made history on Saturday night.
“The EST of WWE” fought through the biased, pro-Iyo Sky crowd in San Juan, Puerto Rico this weekend to successfully defend her Raw Women’s Championship with a victory at WWE Backlash 2023.
Following the show, Belair took to Twitter and commented about equaling the mark set by Becky Lynch for the longest recognized women’s title reign of the modern WWE era.
“Tonight, I faced one of the best of the best Iyo Sky,” Belair began. “Whew!” She continued, “Tonight, I tied Becky Lynch’s record for longest title reign… 398 DAYS!”
The reigning Raw Women’s Champion concluded the message by boasting the fact that she will move ahead to the new lone record-holder today with 399 days as champion.
“And tomorrow, I will become the longest reigning Women’s Champion of the modern era!”
No doubt, WWE will acknowledge the milestone with a 400-day post on Twitter and mentions on the broadcast during Monday Night Raw tomorrow evening.
