Bron Breakker has turned heel.
Tuesday night’s post-Stand & Deliver episode of WWE NXT concluded with a celebration for Trick Williams and new NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes, who won the title by defeating Breakker at NXT Stand & Deliver in Los Angeles on Saturday.
Hayes ended up talking about how much he admires Breakker before summoning him to the ring. To end the show, the two Superstars continued to respect each other. As Trick hyped Hayes as The A Champ, Breakker called on fans to give it up for the new champion. Bron went to leave the ring as Hayes’ music began to play, but Hayes cut the music and offered his hand to Breakker. They shook hands and hugged, then Hayes’ music resumed as Breakker raised Hayes’ arm in the air, and Trick returned to hyping up The A Champ as fans cheered.
Breakker dropped Hayes with a lariat. Trick approached, but Breakker slammed him high in the air. Breakker then ran over Hayes with a Spear as the crowd booed louder. Trick and Hayes were down in the middle of the ring as a visibly agitated Breakker stood on the apron. Fans chanted “one more time!” as the NXT ended after Stand & Deliver.
There is no word on when the rematch between Breakker and Hayes will take place. The next NXT Premium Live Event is Battleground, which will take place on Sunday, May 28 from the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts.
