Early Estimate On Pay Per View Buys For AEW Revolution 2023

The build for AEW Revolution this year was interesting as the company decided to have MJF defend the World Heavyweight Title against Bryan Danielson in an 60-Minute Iron Man Match. Before being restarted and MJF using the crossface for the victory, the match went to a time-limit draw.

According to Dave Meltzer in the most recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the expected pay-per-view buys for the event will range from 120,000 to 129,000.

The show’s strong word of mouth and subsequent late buys should help it reach close to the 137,000 buys it did for Full Gear.

Meltzer stated, “Right now I’d go with a 120,000 to 129,000 number that will probably grow to just under or a little over 130,000 with late buys.”

The UFC PPV event featuring Jon Jones, one of the biggest draws in his comeback/heavyweight debut fight, was followed by the show.

According to Meltzer at the time, last year’s Revolution had the highest PPV buy rate in company history, with an estimated buy rate of up to 170,000. The main event of that show featured Hangman Page retaining the World Title against Adam Cole, and it also featured the dog collar match between Punk and MJF.
