Update On Kenny Omega’s Contract Status With AEW Amid WWE Rumors

It was previously reported that WWE is interested in tempting Kenny Omega away from AEW. The contract between Omega and AEW was thought to have originally expired in the first quarter of 2023.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported the following, in addition to mentioning that Omega had a four-year contract with no option to extend it.

“His contract does allow AEW to extend it for the time he was out injured, which has happened. He was out nine months so that would be a maximum of November but the extended time frame hasn’t been finalized as far as how long,” Meltzer wrote.

The Young Bucks and Omega “have a good shot of sticking together,” according to Meltzer, as agent Barry Bloom has been working with Omega and is expected to handle the Young Bucks’ contract by the end of 2023.
