WWE is reportedly planning two major Premium Live Events in May 2023.
WWE Backlash is set for Saturday, May 6, with the King & Queen of the Ring event set for Saturday, May 27, according to a new report from Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics. The locations have yet to be revealed.
According to reports, Backlash 2023 will not have the “WrestleMania Backlash” title that we saw in 2021 and 2022.
The King & Queen of the Ring event would take place over Memorial Day Weekend, which is also when AEW holds their Double Or Nothing pay-per-view in Las Vegas. This year’s event is scheduled for May 28. Xavier Woods was most recently crowned King of the Ring at Crown Jewel 2021, and Zelina Vega took home the Queen’s Crown tournament.
