As per a report from Monthly Puroresu, pro wrestling great Satoshi Kojima has decided to step away from Pro Wrestling NOAH for the time being.
Kojima, who is actually signed to NJPW, has competed in Pro Wrestling NOAH since April 2022. At CyberFight Festival 2022, Kojima defeated Go Shiozaki to win the GHC Heavyweight Championship and became the fourth Japanese wrestler to win all the major Heavyweight titles in Japan which also included the IWGP Heavyweight and Triple Crown Heavyweight Championships.
More recently Kojima held the GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Titles with partner Takashi Sugiura. They lost the belts at Great Voyage in Osaka to Daiki Inaba and Masa Kitamiya on February 12th.
During a press conference Kojima thanked Sugiura and expressed he was grateful for Pro Wrestling NOAH:
“Thank you, Taka,” expressed Kojima, while being vague about his future plans. “I will keep doing my best, walking a different road. I don’t know when I’ll be back, as there are many things that could happen, but I’m grateful for Pro Wrestling NOAH. Thank you so much.”
Satoshi Kojima is scheduled for the upcoming NJPW 51st Anniversary show on March 6th in Tokyo.
