Jake “The Snake” Roberts has an issue with Shawn Micheals’ selling, despite the fact that Shawn Michaels is regarded as one of the all-time great wrestlers.

Throughout his wrestling career, Michaels worked with some of wrestling’s all-time greats, which ended in 2010 with a loss to The Undertaker (though he came out of retirement for Crown Jewel 2018.)

Roberts acknowledged that Michaels is a superb performer but felt he could have done more to sell tickets for other people during an appearance on his podcast, The Snake Pit.

“I knew the kid was gonna make it. I didn’t know he would make it to where he did. I don’t think anybody could have [predicted that]. That was just a one-in-a-million shot that he would ever get that kind of push, but he got it for whatever reason. He was excellent, no doubt about that, but I don’t know. I don’t like it when a guy goes to the ring and doesn’t sell s**t.”

In February 1985, as part of Mid South Wrestling, Michaels and Roberts squares off; Roberts won with the DDT.
