Mercedes Mone will wrestle her first match since May 2022 when she takes on IWGP Women’s Champion KAIRI at NJPW Battle in the Valley in San Jose on February 18.
Mone attacked a fellow former WWE star during her debut at Wrestle Kingdom to set up the match. After signing with NJPW, it was assumed she would work dates for both NJPW and STARDOM.
Dave Meltzer stated on Wrestling Observer Radio that Mone is only contracted to NJPW for a few matches. She is scheduled to appear at the Sumo Hall Show, NJPW Sakura Genesis from the Ryogoku Sumo Hall on April 8th, and STARDOM from the Yokohama Arena on April 23rd.
“The first Mercedes match is obviously going to be in San Jose. Mercedes will be at the Sumo Hall show, which will be her first match in Japan, and I believe her second match in Japan will be on the STARDOM show at the Yokohama Arena. Those are both in April,” Meltzer said.
