The Elite reclaimed the AEW World Trios Titles on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite by defeating Death Triangle in a best-of-seven series.
The Elite held the first Trios Titles, which they won at All Out, but they were stripped of them following a backstage brawl with CM Punk at the event. They returned at Full Gear and lost to Death Triangle, resulting in the series’ announcement.
The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega defeated PAC, Penta El 0 M, and Fenix in an Escalara de la Merte match, a ladder bout, on Wednesday’s Dynamite after tying the series 3-3.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Nick Jackson broke his toe in an early match during the series.
Meltzer also stated that Nick, “was hurting just walking for the last month plus and still doing all the stuff he did in those matches. It is healing up to where he can walk without that much discomfort.”
