The House of Black appears to be returning to AEW soon.
On Friday night, Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews all posted solo vignettes, previewing their upcoming returns.
Each vignette focuses on a different stable member while also including clips from the previous three promos. They all used similar phrases to caption the vignettes.
“An elegy of the forgotten,” Black wrote.
“An Elegy of the forgotten!,” Matthews exclaimed.
King wrote, “An elegy of the forgotten.”
Hart wrote, “An Elegy of the forgotten”
For what it’s worth, “An Elegy For The Forgotten” is the title of a 2018 album by Transcending Uncertainty.
Black hasn’t been seen since The House of Black lost against Sting, Darby Allin, and Miro at All Out on September 4. After the match, Black waved goodbye to the crowd before hugging his stablemates at ringside off-camera. Black subsequently took a break from the business, and others speculated that he would be gone for a while. Since All Out, King and Matthews have worked two tag team matches, defeating Kubes and Isaiah Prince on the September 12 episode of Elevation and losing a No DQ match to Sting and Allin on the September 23 Grand Slam edition of Rampage. Since All Out, Hart has only worked one bout, a victory over Tiara James on the same September 12 Elevation.
Because of the new vignettes, House of Black has been trending globally on Twitter.
We don’t know when Black and his team will return to AEW programming, but we’ll keep you posted.
