LA Knight has returned to WWE.
Knight attacked Mace and Mansoor during a segment that occurred backstage during this week’s WWE SmackDown. Knight was yelled at by Maxxine Dupri to stop. That is when he announced he was reverting to his previous name.
The change had been teased for weeks on television and social media, and when Triple H replaced Vince McMahon, the end was near for the Max Dupri character. Prior to McMahon’s departure, there were concerns about Dupri/Knight’s future in the company, as he was reportedly removed from the group for objecting to things that were written out for him.
Maxxine Dupri will serve as the stable’s leader and spokesperson, and it appears that they will become babyfaces.
