Devon ‘Hannibal’ Nicholson Comments on Assault Charges Against Him

On October 12 in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, wrestler and YouTuber Devon Nicholson will go on trial for allegedly assaulting a woman last month.

Since his arrest, he had been detained, and last week, he appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice for a hearing on bail. He was with his girlfriend on August 20 and was listed on the court docket on August 29, according to information that is posted on his Hannibal TV YouTube account. It appeared that the alleged incident took place during that time period.

Nicholson was granted bail and released under his parents’ supervision. He cannot have any contact with the victim and must either stay with his parents or maintain contact with them.

In a new YouTube video that was uploaded, Nicholson responded to the accusations. Additionally, he claimed that his girlfriend had abused him and posted several images of himself following the incidents. He stated that she is accused of five attacks.

“Unfortunately, a situation has come up that there are a lot of people that are trying to make me guilty until proven innocent. Unfortunately, a bad situation happened with a girl that I was dating, but one thing that nobody is reporting on is that the girl [name removed] actually also has five charges against her for assaulting me with a weapon, uttering threats to me, destroying my property, and causing me bodily harm. There are two sides to the story, and she’s already had one court appearance in Ottawa. She has another one in October. I’m going to leave it up to the courts. It’s not a matter of public opinion. It’s a matter for the courts to decide…. It’s just an unfortunate situation. I’ve never been in a situation like this before where I’ve had to deal with a partner attacking me. It’s just unfortunate. I can’t say anything more than that. I wish her the best, but it’s now a matter for the courts.” Nicholson said.
