Almost universally beloved by the fan base, Wrestlemania 17 may have had some matches that were a not on par, but it boasted absolutely no outright bad matches, and quite a few of what are now considered some of the best matches in WWE history.
The standout from this event, in the eyes of many, is the three-way, six-man match between the Dudley Boyz, the Hardy Boyz, and Christian and Edge. A great match, which kept fans on their toes, with lots of thrill and excitement to go around. Other standouts include Undertaker versus Triple H and Kurt Angle vs Chris Benoit. The night ended on a spectacular note, with Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson going up against Steve Austin, two of the greatest wrestlers in the business.
Overall, one of the greatest WWE events in history, and will forever be remembered as such.
Wrestlemania 19
Wrestlemania 19 was held in 2003 at the Safeco Field in Seattle. Some of the greatest wrestlers in the WWE participated in Wrestlemania 19, including the Rock, Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Brock Lesnar, etc.
The match that will, undoubtedly, be remembered from this event, is the rivalry-ending Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson versus “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. In what turned out to be Steve Austin’s last match ever, The Rock finally managed to defeat his long-time rival, and establish himself as the undisputed champion.
Another great match of the event was the Brock Lesnar versus Kurt Angle match, which Lesnar ended up winning, and thus securing the WWE title.
Wrestlemania 25
Held in 2009, Wrestlemania 25 was an event consisting of eight matches. One of the biggest matches of the event, saw fan-favorite wrestler, The Undertaker take down Shawn Michaels, and retaining his undefeated streak of 17 straight victories. The final match of the event saw two of WWE’s favorites Randy Orton and Triple H face off for the WWE Championship.
