Impact Wrestling recently brought back the TNA brand name for a special event and it appears that the company will continue using the brand in a new storyline. With Impact World Champion Tessa Blanchard unable to appear at Rebellion, Moose ended up winning the “TNA World Title” at the event and is now proclaiming himself as the “real” World Champion. Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com noted the following regarding Impact’s plans:
“We are told the [TNA] special did way, way, way better than anybody ever hoped and AXS TV reached out to Impact Wrestling and said, ‘hey let’s do more TNA stuff.’ They are looking at integrating TNA back onto AXS TV in some fashion.”
“There will be more TNA in the weeks and months to come I am told.”
