KICKOFF SHOW
Charly Caruso, Booker T, David Otunga and Scott Stanford are in Stamford at WWE HQ for the Kickoff show.
The 20 Man Battle Royal will take place on the Kickoff.
They run down the card.
Byron Saxton interviewed Ric Flair. He ran down the list of his team, saying they are five of the greatest athletes in the world today representing him at Crown Jewel. He promises they will make history. He said Saudi Arabia is going to witness the greatest event in 2019. He said when they are done, they’ll fly back to the United States grabbing that they beat Hulk Hogan. He said they will style and profile and prevail in the ring, just as he has his whole career. He said Saudi Arabia has never seen the Nature Boy like this and began Wooing away.
20 Man Battle Royal – Winner Faces AJ Styles for WWE United States Championship
Your competitors are Mojo Rawley, Tony Nese, Apollo Crews, Titus O’Neil, The Brian Kendrick, Eric Young, Luke Harper, Cedric Alexander, Heath Slater, Humberto Carrillo, No Way Jose, Drake Maverick, The Singh Brothers, Buddy Murphy, Shelton Benjamin, Sin Cara, Akira Tozawa, R-Truth, Erick Rowan.
They showed AJ Styles watching a monitor. He got a big pop.
Everyone battled. Rowan and Harper worked together. Rowan pressed and tossed Maverick to the outside. Kendrick is tossed, followed by Eric Young. Sunil was tossed and once he was eliminated, the WWE 24/7 title was back in play, so R-Truth pinned him and won the title. That was pretty funny.
After a commercial, they contunued the match. Harper and Rowan teased going at each other, but No Way Jose tried to get them to dance instead. That worked out well for Jose as he was wiped out with a lariat and tossed out. Tozawa tried to challenge Rowan but they eliminated him. Harper and Rowan continued to control until Humberto Carrillo was able to eliminatge then to win.

It was a typical battle royal but everything got big reactions live. Carrillo makes sense as the winner.
The announcers touted Lacey Evans vs. Natalya. When the women’s match was placed on the Titantron, it got a MASSIVE pop. They presented this as a major, cultural moment.
The panel discussed Brock Lesnar vs. Cain Velasquez. Booker said he had an amazing debut in AAA.
They showed the Best Tag Team in the World trophy.
Byron Saxton interviewed New Day. They noted Xavier Woods was injured. Kofi said they’ve had some setbacks recently, but they have the power of positivity. They miss their brother but they are going to hold it down against all the other teams tonight. Then, they are going to beat the Revival on Smackdown and become the new Tag Team Champions… because New Day rocks. Usual entertaining promo.
They went to a Heavy Machinery promo backstage. Otis said he was feeling hungry for that big Cup. Ziggler and Roode said they are already the best looking and the best team in the business and tonight they prove they are the best.
They previewed the Seth Rollins vs. Bray Wyatt Falls Count Anywhere match.
WWE CROWN JEWEL 2019
WWE Champion Brock Lesnar (with Paul Heyman) vs. Cain Velasquez (with Rey Mysterio)
I wonder if this is like WrestleMania where Brock wanted to get the match over with so he could go home?
Heyman did the big intro for Lesnar.
Early on, Velsquez kept going for kicks. Lesnar kept tying up Cain and backing him onto the corner. Velasquez kicked him in the gut, then in the head and mounted him with punches. Brock got him in a Kimura and tapped him.
Just like that, it was over. Like Junbkyard Dog in Mid-South, Brock don’t get paid by the minute. As a way to get around Velasquez’ inexperience, it was probably the best way.

Brock refused to break the hold, trying to hurt Cain. Rey entered the ring with a steel chair. Lesnar was nailed across the back but it had no effect and he tossed Rey to the floor. Brock used the chair on Cain and nailed an F-5 on him. Rey hit the ring with another chair and started wailing away on Brock, finally knocking him to the mat. Rey kept wailing away on Brock with the chairshots. Brock finally escaped the ring. Rey demanded he return but Heyman said, “Not a chance.”
The Revival did a promo backstage, saying this is their moment to show the world they are the best ever. They said the other teams are good, but they ain’t Revival good.
Viking Raiders said everyone will witness their domination.
Tag Team Turmoil Match in history to determine World Cup winner and crown the “Best Tag Team in the World” featuring The New Day, The Viking Raiders, Heavy Machinery, Lucha House Party, Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins, The Revival, The O.C., Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode and The B-Team.
Ziggler and Roode vs. Lucha House Party start us off. Lince woas worked over for some time. He nailed an enziguiri on Roode Roode distracted the referee to allow Ziggler to wipe out Gran Metallik. Roode pinned him, eliminating Lucha Party.
The next team was Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins. Ryder nailed the Rough Ryder on Ziggler, who went to the floor. Ryder and Hawkins double teamed Roode but Ziggler broke up the pinfall. Hawkins was superkicked off the apron. Ryder was nailed with the Zig Zag and pinned, Hawkins and Ryder eliminated.
Heavy Machinery were next out. Tucker controlled Ziggler but was taken down and had the ring cut off on him. Ziggler and Roode tagged in and out, working him over. Tucker was sent hard to the floor. They continued the assault Tucker finally fought his way out. He crawled to make the hot tag to Otis and made it. Heavy Machiney made the comeback, including Otis hitting the catepillar and scored the pin. Ziggler and Roode eliminated.
Next out was New Day. Huge pop for them and pyro too. Big E and Otis did some power spots. Otis nailed a big splash in the corner on Kofi. He nailed the catepillar on Kofi for a two count. Tucker tagged in but was hit with Trouble in Paradise. Big E tagged in but was tossed by Tucker with a suplex for a two count. Kingston tagged in and nailed Tucker with the SOS and scored the pin. Heavy Machinery eliminated.
Next out was B-Team. They take control on Big E and nailed a series of knees. Bo Dallas locked in a side chinlock. Axel tagged in but was hit with the Big Ending for the pin. B-Team eliminated.
Next out is Smackdown Tag Team Champions The Revival, so we get a preview of tomorrow’s Smackdown bout. They have some nice back and forth sequences. Dash Wilder powerslams Kingston for a two count. The crowd rallied New Day. Kingston tried to make a tag but was cut off by Dawson. Kingston was sent into the corner but came off with a missile dropkick. He went for the tag but Big E was knocked off the apron by Wilder. The Revival continued the assault on Kingston. They double teamed Kingston but he kicked up at the last second. Kofi rolled up Wilder for the pin. Revival eliminated. They nailed The Shatter Machine on Kofi after,
The next team was Gallows and Anderson. Kofi tried to ward them off but was caught with a big boot by Anderson. They nailed the Magic Killer on Kofi and scored the pin. New Day out. The crowd didn’t like that.
Raw Tag Team Champions The Viking Raiders were next. HUGE pop for them. They battled back and forth with the OC scoring the win. Nice surprise there.

This was too long for my taste but the work was fine.
Cesaro vs, Mansoor
The reaction for Mansoor was off the charts. He was a legitimate star there, complete with pyro. The look oif excitement on his face was completely infectious. You had to be happy for the guy.
They showed footage of his win in the Battle Royal the last time they were in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, noting that Cesaro was one of the talents he eliminated.
They did a very basic match early on with some back and forth wrestling and Cesaro using his strength to put Mansoor at a disadvantage. This set up for Mansoor to hit the classic babyface spots, like deep armdrags and leapfrogs to get big pops from the crowd. Cesaro nailed him with a knee when they were backed up in the corner. Mansoor came back with a dropkick that sent Cesaro to the floor. Mansoor went for a tope suicida but was nailed with an uppercut in mid-air. Cesaro sent him into the barricade on the floor.
Mansoor was brought back into the ring and worked over. Cesaro locked on a sleeper but was backed into the corner. Mansoor tried to mount a comeback and went to the top but was tripped up and crashed backwards into the turnbuckles, then smashed into the ring for a two count. Cesaro continued to work him over, scoring two counts. Cesaro locked in a side chinlock. Mansoor was placed in another slpeer and tried to fight his way free. Mansoor reversed it but was dropped into a jawbreaker by Cesaro for another two count.
Cesaro went to the top but was hit with a dropkick in mid-air . Mansoor unloaded with chops and punches. He was caught for a back suplex but landed on his feet and nailed a step-up enziguiri. Cesaro was sent to floor, where Mansoor nailed a tope con hilo. Mansoor sent him back into the ring and nailed a flying bodypress off the top for another near fall. Mansoor nailed a tornado DDT for another two count. Mansoor’s facial expressions have gotten way better.
Mansoor nailed several big moves, including a neckbreaker for a two count. Cesaro cut him off on the top and deadlifted him into a Gutwrench superplex. Mansoor got big reactions every time he kicked up. The crowd chanted, “Let’s go Mansoor.” Mansoor was caught with an elevated uppercut for another two count but was trapped in a Crossface submission. The crowd rallied him to break free. Mansoor caught him with a superkick for another two count. The crowd is really loving the hell out of this.
Mansoor went to the top but Cesaro worked him over. Cesaro nailed a huge uppercut. He went for another gutwrench superplex but Mansoor caught him on the way down and hit a a sunset flip powerbomb. That was awesome! Mansoor nailed a moonsault off the top and scored the pin.

This was absolutely perfect for this show and it was laid out perfectly. Cesaro deserves all the credit in the world for carrying Mansoor at this level and Mansoor worked his rear end off and showed some real improvement since the last time we’ve seen him. This was great for what it was and could not have been put together any better.
Gregory Hamilton interviewed Mansoor in the ring. He got a massive roar when asked what it meant to win his first ever singles match in his home country. He started to tear up. He said that when he woke up this morning, he looked in the mirror and told himself this is his most important match of his life. He said that will admit he was scared and nervous. The crowd chanted, “You deserve it.” He said that he stepped into the ring in front of everyone here and in front of his family and remembered that anything is possible. He said that this may have been the most important victory in his life, but he cannot wait to see what “we do next.” He spoke to the crowd in Arabic, which they loved. He said that we dreamed there would be a Saudi star in WWE.
Tyson Fury vs. Braun Strowman
The story is that Tyson Fury was still limping yesterday from Braun Strowman’s attack at the Performance Center.
Fury came out to “It’s Your Thing” by the Isley Broothers, which means he has the best these song of anyone on the show. Tons of pyro, lazers, etc. for Fury. As in way more than ANYONE else thus far on the show. Fury came out wearing traditional a Saudi robe and headdress, which got a big reaction. There’s no way he’s losing to Braun now!
They did some headlocks and shoulderblocks early. Fury didn’t look comfortable running the ropes early. Fury was shoulderblocked down and then a second time, Strowman worked him over in the corner. Fury was covering up. Braun sent him into the corner. Strowman missed a charge into the corner and crashed to the floor below. Fury followed him to the floor but was sent into the apron and nailed with a big right hand. Braun charged around the ring for his running shoulderblock but was nailed with a right hand and went down.
Fury tossed Braun into the ring. Tyson knocked him into the ropes and nailed a big boot for a two count. He pulled up Braun for a move but was driven backwards into the turnbuckles. Braun knocked him down but Fury sat up like Undertaker. Braun kicked him back down. They had a moment of hesitation before Fury attempted a bodypress but was caught and slammed Fury went to the floor. This time, Braun charged around the ring and took him down with the shouderblock. He nailed it a second time.
Tyson was sent into the ring but nailed a right cross on Braun, who crashed to the floor. They teased counting Strowman out. Nope, he was counted out.
Your winner, by countout, Tyson Fury!
This went as well as one could hope. If anything, they went too long but as a spectacle, this was fine. It wasn’t a good match, but as a spectacle, it did its job
Braun powerslammed Tyson after the match.
Backstage, everyone is chasing WWE 24/7 Champion R-Truth. He hid in a room but when he emerged, the Singhs were waiting for him. He tried to run off but ran into the door, Looney Toons style and Samir Singh covered him.

They really should have Mansoor win the title before this show ends.
WWE United States Champion AJ Styles (with The O.C) vs. Humberto Carrillo.
Gallows carried the Best Tag Team Trophy to the ring.
Carillo started strong and teased a dive. Styles slowed it down, grinding him down on the mat and nailed a backbreaker for a two count. Styles controlled him and scored several two counts. Carrillo came back with some nice offense including a flip off the ropes into an armdrag and a standing moonsault for a two count. They are working a pace for what would seem to be a longer bout. They went to the apron, where Styles went for a suplex but Carrillo blocked and nailed a pump kick. He kicked Styles to the floor. Carrillo hit a great twisting dive to the floor.
Back in the ring, Styles regained control and went for the Styles Clash. Carrillo avoided it but hurt his knee landing. Styles tried to kick at his knee but Carrillo avoided it. Carrillo was limping and got caught in the calf crusher. Carrillo escaped and went for a moonsault but hurt his knee again. Styles nailed him with a Phenomenal Forearm and scored the pin.

This was a solid bout. Well worked.
Hulk Hogan was interviewed by Byron Saxton. He nicknamed him Beautiful Byron. He did his Hogan promo, saying Team Hogan was going to run wild on Team Flair.
Natalya vs. Lacey Evans
Pyro and a huge pop for Natalya. She came out wearing a full body suit with a t-shirt over it.
Pyro for Evans. Same sort of costuming for Evans.
Lots of crowd shots of girls and women in the crowd during the entrances.
They are wrestling in the t-shirts.
Evans shoulderblocked Natalya down. Natalya nailed an armdrag. Natalya got the crowd to rally behind her. Lots of back and forth reversals. Evans rolled her up for a two count. They faced off and shook hands. The announcers built up Natalya, rightfully, as a locker room leader who has done so much for the company and deserved to be making history. The crowd was chanting, “:This is awesome.” Lots of near falls and basical back and forth moves.
Evans nailed a back elbow to the face and took down Natalya. Natalya caught her charging in and usedl a double leg takedown, trying to set up the Sharpshooter. Evans escaped but was sent to the floor. Natalya went to follow but was cut off and nailed with a kick on the apron, using the ropes to propel her. Evans locked in a sitting Cobra Clutch.
Natalya fought her way out and nailed a discus lariat. They said it was shades of Jim Neidhart. I don’t ever remember him using that move. Natalya trapped Evans in the Sharpshooter, brought her to the center of the ring, and forced Evans to tap.

Evans and Natalya embraced after the match and raised each other’s arms.
They blew up a lot of pyro.
They embraced a lot of female fans as they made their way around ringside.
Team Hulk Hogan, featuring Roman Reigns & Ali & Ricochet & Rusev & Chad “Shorty” G vs. Team Ric Flair, featuring Randy Orton & King Corbin & Bobby Lashley & Shinsuke Nakamura & Drew McIntyre.
Everyone received their own entrances, including the Hulkster. Jimmy Hart was with Hogan. Roman got the final entrance.
The story early was that Rusev wanted to get at Lashley but kept getting cut off. Ali got worked over a lot by Drew. Ricochet tagged in (to NXT chants) and looked strong until King Corbin distracted him. Ricochet and Corbin double teamed him. Orton tagged in and began hitting measured Orton stomps. The crowd loved Orton. Lashley tagged in and hit a delayed vertical suplex. Ricochet tried to fire back but was taken down by Corbin.
They spent a lot of time working over Ricochet. Lashley set up for a move but nailed Rusev on the apron. Ricochet finally got the tag to Roman Reigns, who began cleaning house on everyone. Reigns worked over Corbin in the corner, raining down fists. Reigns hit a big boot and legdrop in honor of Hogan. Orton made a blind tag and tried to hit the RKO but was nailed with a Superman Punch for a two count. The pinfall was broken up. Everyone began hitting big moves.
McIntyre killed Ricochet with the Claymore Kick. Rusev made the save and began laying waste to everyone. He finally got to Lashley and they faced off. They brawled in the center of the ring. Lashley was getting beaten down but ducked and grabbed the ropes as Rusev charged, sending him over the top. Roman nailed the Superman Punch, then hit a big dive on everyone. Reigns returned to the ring and went to spear Orton but was punt kicked and hit with the RKO, but Roman kicked up at the last second.
Orton set up for another kick but Shorty G tripped him. Team Hogan hit a flurry of offense on Orton. Reigns speared Orton and pinned him.
Your winner, Team Hogan!
A solid house show style match to close the show.
Team Hogan all celebrated as they faded out.
WWE ran a Wrestlemania commercial.
They made it clear it’s NXT vs. Raw vs. Smackdown at Survivor Series.
They aired a video package on Bray Wyatt vs. Seth Rollins.
WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins vs. Bray Wyatt – Falls Count Anywhere, The Match Cannot Be Stopped For Any Reason.
Again with the red lighting!
They began brawling in the ring. Wyatt took control and drilled Rollins with punches against the ropes. Rollins nailed a Slingblade and hit a springboard into a flying knee. He nailed several right hands but Wyatt came back with a high cross bodyblock.
They went to the floor, where Wyatt tossed him over the barricade to the floor. They battled towards a production area and sent each other into a video screen. Rollins came off the barricade but missed a kick. He rebounded with a superkick. Wyatt stood up and Rollins was shocked. Bray nailed a chokeslam onto the apron. Wyatt beat down Rollins by the stairs and placed him against a barricade. Wyatt charged by Rollins missed and Bray crashed through the barricade, which got a big reaction.
Rollins set up several tables at rtageingside. Rollins beat Bray with chairs. Seth pulled out a sledgehammer but when he went to use it, Bray grabbed him in the Mandible Claw. Rollins nailed him with the sledgehammer, which stunned but didn’t stop Wyatt.
Wyatt made a comeback and placed Seth over the Arabic announce table. Wyatt went to put him through the table with a back splash senton but Rollins moved and crashed through the table. Rollins began beating him with chairshots.
Rollins placed him on a table and went for a move off the top but Wyatt met him on the ropes and shoved him backwards off the top through the tables Rollins had previously set up. Wyatt worked him over on the floor. He set up for Sister Abigail’s Kiss on the floor but Rollins broke free and nailed a kick. Rollins nailed him with the ring steps. Rollins nailed the stomp on the floor. Rollins covered him for a two count.
Rollins went under the ring for something and pulled out another chair and began beating him with a chair. He dove off the barricade and nailed Wyatt with a chair. Rollins and Wyatt brawled atop the barricade, where Wyatt nailed Sister Abigail’s Kiss atop of it.
Rollins was tossed back into the ringside area and began crawling up the ramp. Bray beat him up the aisle. They brawled up to the entrance stage. Bray teased hitting a Uranage off the stage. Rollins fought him off and nailed a big knee strike. Wyatt rose up. Seth nailed several superkicks and a stomp on the stage. He nailed another and another and another.
Bray started to rise, so Seth superkicked him as he was on stairs at the side of the stage. He kicked Bray off the stage and Bray crashed down into some equipment with explosions going off. Officials ran over with fire extinguishers. Seth went to find him but Bray rose up and attacked him. He nailed Seth with Sister Abigail’s Kiss on the floor. He pinned Seth.

Fun little brawl. This was the result that should have happened at HIAC but this worked. Entertaining close to the show, but enough with the red lights.
