As PWMania.com previously reported, pro wrestling veteran 2 Cold Scorpio was arrested last June 15th for stabbing a man while working as a security guard at a gas station.
DDT Pro Wrestling recently announced that Scorpio’s upcoming Japan tour, where he was set to compete at the DDT and GCW joint event on Monday, August 12th as well as for GCW on Tuesday, August 13th to Wednesday, August 14th, has been postponed. This is due to the legal issues Scorpio is facing in the United States.
Scorpio claims he acted in self-defense after the man threatened him and tried to attack him, while the victim alleges Scorpio was the aggressor. The victim was hospitalized with cuts to his head, chest, buttocks, legs, and abdomen, requiring numerous staples and stitches. Scorpio faces charges of first-degree assault and armed criminal action, which are both felonies. Scorpio was released on bail and has a hearing scheduled for July.
Scorpio has competed in Japan for promotions like Pro Wrestling NOAH, AJPW, and NJPW and is well-known for his time in ECW, WWE, and WCW.
