ECW *Spoilers*

WWE taped this week's edition of ECW tonight from the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, R.I. Special thanks to ProWrestling.net & reader Dennis Fanning for sending updates.

Dark Match

1. Eric Escobar over Tommy Dreamer. A train wreck of a match I believe this was a dark match.

ECW Taping (Airing tonight):

Christian called out William Regal for a title match, but Regal refused to fight in front of the crowd. He said he wants the shot next week in England. Christian accepted. Tiffany told Regal that Ezekiel Jackson and Vladimir Kozlov are banned from ringside next week.

1. William Regal over Goldust with the running kneelift.

Backstage Rosa Mendes hit on Zack Ryder.

2. Shelton Benjamin over Zack Ryder. Shelton won with Paydirt.

Paul Burchill called out The Hurricane and challenged him to a future match. If Hurricane loses, he must unmask

Abe Washington and Tony Atlas were walking backstage when they knocked on a door. Tiffany and new Superstar Vance Archer walked out.

3. Vance Archer over a local wrestler in a squash. Archer was rocking Gangrel pants and a lower back tattoo.

Ahah, is this what the WWE have been waiting for, Regal vs. Christian in England. Is this the time when he is finally crowned ECW champion? I hope so!.

Rosa hits on Zack? Good move, gives her something to do!

Benjamin back on track this week i am pleased to see. Burchill and HH should put on a good final match and i expect Helms to win that one.

Weird match 3 like...I hope new guy vs. local wrestler, i'll have to look into FCW on this one to see who he was there...

Looks like a decent ECW, will try and catch it on Thursday!

I laughed so hard when I seen Rosa hit on Zack Ryder, you can only see the story starting to form there. It sucks Ryder lost, but at least Shelton is winning finally.. On the other hand, unlike you I hope Regal doesn't win next week. I don't see anything special with him, I never did and I never will.

Good to see Vance Archer(lance hoyt) getting some attention finally, this guy was pretty entertaining for a bigger guy while he was in TNA, I could only hope he's the same in the WWE.

It's already aired in the US? No need for me to have put the spoilers on then. Yeh i just read that the new guy was in TNA a while back so there goes my FCW research plan :P

I just hope Regal wins so that it changes the complexion of ECW, Chrisitan isn't boosting ratings so they may as well give someone else a go...i'd prefer Shelton ofc :P

I agree what you say about Christian, but there's other people on the roster who could bring the title up a little more, than WWE's version of World Elite. You do know what they say about Englishmen, who hang out with Russians and Blacks don't you?

I don't quite get how some new guy's debut against a local competitor can be the main event, not really sensible imo. Anyways, glad to see Shelton winning although I wish it wasn't over Ryder. Then again, who else would be somewhat credible. As fr Regal/Christian, I hope Regal wins. Not because I like him because like Itch, I've never seen anything too special about him but I hope that maybe Shelton will get a push and eventually win the ECW Championship. Then Christian can maybe move over to Raw or Smackdown where he should be(unless he gets buried)

I think that the matches are ordered wrong there. Regals match will be the main event and the jobber and new guy match will be up first. We shall wait until later on tonight, (for you guys) to see. Post here once ECW has aired please to let me know.

I really want William Regal as the next ECW Champion, the guy is a phenomenal talent and deserves a run with any belt to be honest.

Also, isn't it kind of pointless to have Paul Burchill say if he wins Hurricane must unmask? I think everyone is aware that Hurricane is Gregory Helms.

As much as I am glad to see Shelton and Regal get wins, and a debut by Hoyt I think ECW looks very poor to say the least.

As much of a Hurricane fan I am, I'd like to see him being unmasked. It'd made Gregory more credible and if he brought back the Shining Wizard that'd be epic imo. I hope he does come back as Gregory Helms.

With this huge, green, horrible looking tattoo on his back? Nah, WWE won't kill a very popular gimmick such as The Hurricane like that, especially not with Paul Burchill. I just think it's a try to get some ratings for ECW. Hoyt already making the main-event means VKM clearly wants to push him at the top quickly.

Vance is Hoyt? Awesome. Lance Hoyt is one of the better big men, who can really move despite his size. I enjoyed him in TNA when he was actually allowed to do something, I hope he does well in the WWE.

Im thinking that Regal steals a win next week in England, and then Shelton Benjamin becomes the new #1 contender for the title.

Well i hope that happens, It would be great to see Shelton showcase his brilliant ability while leading ECW at the same time.

It has aired in the US. I just finished watching it and Christian and Tatsu defeat Kozlov and Jackson in the main event. The three then attack Christian and beat him up pretty good to end the show.

Thought so, i was thinking the exact same thing as Ryan, that ECW had been stupid and gave some new guy the main event shot but then i thought about it for a sexond and realised these were spoilers so the matches are taped in whatever order.

Would you recommend tuning in?

So let me get this straight, last week on the Abraham Washington show Tiffany said that Regal would never get another title shot. This week he gets a title shot!?!?! That is clear. Still Christian vs Regal #317 should be good considering it is in England and the reaction for Regal will be huge. It will be interesting to see, hear would probably be a better word, what reaction Christian will get. I don't expect him to be booed but he will be out-popped by Regal. Regal winning it would blow the roof off the stadium and needs to happen because I want a different champion.

It is about time Hoyt debuted. Like Vita said he is very athletic for a big man and should bring something new to ECW. I was disappointed though when I read the spoilers, I marked when I saw the name Gangrel but then read the word pants after wasn't so happy.

Show looks good overall with three matches and a squash. Yoshi tatsu is still getting a big push as Christian's partner and I wonder how long that will continue.

JK, it's not a great show but I would say it's worth watching. No really bad matches, except for the squash but that was to serve its purpose anyway.

Ahh thanks, it's on tonight after the repear of Raw. I'll tape the repeat of Raw because i doubt i'll be in for that. Might be in for ECW but i will set a record on it as well. Next weeks edition will be the one to watch tho :P
